Interaction Designer / Front-end developer, UserVoice.com, San Francisco, CA

VC backed and with an experienced founding team, UserVoice is set to become the underlying technology for collection, organization and analysis of consumer opinion on the web.

We are seeking an interaction designer/front-end developer to help build an amazing user experience for our customers and their users. You’ll work directly with our Head of UX to design, build and iteratively improve the feedback widgets that power a majority of end-user interaction. Suffice to say your work will give you very high exposure (our current widgets are viewed over 250M times a month) and the opportunity to have considerable ownership over this area of the product.

You have to be completely comfortable with:

• Rapid development / prototyping of new features working directly in HTML/CSS/JS
• Working self-sufficiently with Ruby on Rails views / helpers, building templates
• Debugging cross-browser compatibility issues
• Javascript, both standard libraries (Prototype, jQuery, YUI) as well as an ability to write "naked" JS
• FireBug/Developer Tools for debugging
• Writing concise copy that users understand

Bonus points for:

• Obsessive compulsive tendencies to details
• Experience building embeddable widgets
• Experience doing A/B testing and funnel analysis
• Contributions to open source projects
• Familiarity with Git and GitHub
• Maintaining a blog
